Spring is finally here in Calgary

The temperatures are slightly warmer each day, and spring is in the air.  Between the melting snow and muddy feet, now is a good time to do some spring cleaning.

A spray bottle with water in it and a towel kept near the front door or in your vehicle should serve to prevent muddy footprints through the house or car.

Watch those nails- the remnants of hard-packed icy snow on the grass are notorious for damaging your dog's nails.  Broken nails are painful, and preventable if you are careful about where you decide to play fetch until all the snow is gone.

Spring gear clean-up.  Now is a good time to go through your dog's supplies and do some culling.  Has your puppy outgrown his winter jacket?  Do you only have 3 dog boots left?  Do the collar and leash stink, are they in good repair?  Take your gently used dog supplies to your local animal shelter or contact a rescue association who can make use of them.  Wash whatever is still good, including the dog beds and blankets, and leap into spring fresh and new.

If you find that you are now in need of a new dog bed or other supplies, pop on over to The Pawhaus and check out Amanda's great selection of fabulous stuff for your pet.  She offers FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $99.  Take one errand off your To Do list, and have Amanda send you what you need.
